Ain't Your Mama's Slaw

INGREDIENTS:

1 (12 oz) pkg broccoli slaw
1 cup red bell pepper strips
1 cup chopped fresh pineapple
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped red onions
1/3 cup Italian salad dressing (oil-base, not creamy)
1 tsp brown sugar
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

DIRECTIONS:

1. Combine together the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.

2. Mix together the dressing and sugar until blended. Add to salad; toss to coat.

3. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Add nuts just before serving; mix lightly.

Yield: 12 Servings
Serving Size: 2/3 cup per serving.
